Due to Miss Beyke's absence and the jam-packed week, we were not able to hold try-outs for spell bowl.  We will definitely have try-outs this week!

Your child's progress report is in his/her Friday folder.  Please check for reading contracts.  These contracts must be signed and returned daily.

We will be attending the Kindergarten's Thanksgiving prayer service this Tuesday at 1:00.  You are welcome to join us!

This Wednesday, the Brownsburg Bus drivers will be coming in to present a bus safety program.

Our annual toy drive will be the week after Thanksgiving.  This toy drive sponsored by the student council will benefit the less fortunate through the Catholic Charities Christmas Store.  Please do NOT bring in stuffed animals, play dough, games that need batteries, or TV/computer games.

Class Work

Religion – We are going to discuss Advent and ways we can prepare for Advent.

Reading – The projects were fantastic!  During this short week, we will be reading a nonfiction piece and doing a short literature circle.

Spelling – No spelling this week....only spell bowl try-outs.

Math – Your child should have a study guide.  Test is Tuesday.

Science –  Most students are done researching their animals.  On to writing the papers!

English – We will learn about Direct Objects and continue writing poetry.

Social Studies – The explorer projects were terrific!  I'm glad so many of you were able to attend on short notice.  Now comes the part I love--grading them!  We will discover the Spanish and French colonies this week.
