What is the West Deanery Junior High retreat?

The West Deanery Junior High retreat is a great experience in which Junior High students from all over the western Indianapolis area go to a chosen location with a large group of students, their exact same ages and partake in various faith building and educating activities.

How long is the West Deanery Junior High Retreat?

This retreat lasts just a short two days, but during these two days, the students take in a ton of information about their faith and how they can live it to the best of their abilities.  The students attending the retreat will be dropped off the first day, sometime in the late evening.  When the students are dropped off, their parent/guardian will need to then register them at the main table set up inside.  That night, the students will have plenty of opportunities to socialize with minimal class time.  In the past years, the students have had a gymnasium at their disposal.  So all you basketball players out their, don't worry!  You'll have plenty of free time to shoot a few hoops.  The students will then, after dinner and evening prayer, go to bed.

The next day, unlike the first, is chalk full of classes and various activities.  The student will go around in rotations in their pre-assigned groups to different stations and visit different presenters, who are talking about a subject that has some relevance to the main theme for that year.  Between these activities, the students will be allowed to have snacks from the food tables set up, as well as play in the gym. (As long as they are sticking to their time table.)

The Junior High students, upon the completion of their classes, will have have mass in the church right by where they had their classes.  After mass, the retreat will officially be over and the parents/guardians will be able to pick up their student.
